NEWS BULLETIN! The Redwoods & Coast Bus Tour scheduled for Friday is completely BOOKED. We are working on making arrangements to have the same tour on THURSDAY and a Wine & Early California History Tour on Friday. We will be contacting those who have signed up for this full tour to offer the alternate dates. We are thrilled with the response to this event and will work to accomodate everyone! The Sonoma A’s chapter of the Model A Ford Club of America cordially invites you to join us for the MAFCA National Awards Banquet to be held in beautiful Sonoma County, California.
We are an active chapter in the heart of northern California’s premium wine grape growing region. We enjoy a temperate winter climate and proximity to the Pacific coast, Sierra ski resorts, and cultural attractions of the San Francisco Bay area.
We look forward to being your Hosts in 2011!
Plan your visit to include fashion and technical seminars, bus tours and self-guided tours, Hubley racing (with a twist), great dining and wine tasting, local breweries, and our community’s famous hospitality.
The Sonoma A’s will be your Tour Guides to towering Redwoods, the rugged Pacific Ocean and the scenic back roads that love our Model A’s year round. Sample fresh Dungeness Crab, visit Jack London State Historic Park, Luther Burbank‘s Home and Gardens, the Charles M. Schulz Museum, and historic Korbel Champagne Cellars, doing business since 1882.
We have secured excellent rates at the beautiful Hyatt Vineyard Creek Hotel and Spa, whose award winning chefs will prepare our Welcome Party, Awards Banquet and Breakfast with the Board.
The hotel is situated in Santa Rosa’s historic Railroad Square, home to many fine restaurants, shops (including a vintage clothing shop that is anticipating your visit) and tasting rooms for a sample of the local vintages. The Railroad Square locale has been featured in several films, most notably Alfred Hitchcock’s classic “Shadow of a Doubt”.
